Hello!
I first encountered Human-Centered Design in 2015, when I enrolled in a pilot, project-based class in Design Thinking and Entrepreneurship at my high school. I loved it so much, I took it again my senior year.
That’s saying a lot, because up until that point, I thought I hated school! That class showed me that everything around us is designed—or in other words, subject to change and improvement. It took me much longer to realize that the education system I had gone through my whole life wasn’t designed for the way that I learn…but that didn’t make me a bad student.
Through work, I would see how creating systems for the way people think and behave can have an enormous impact on how they view their own abilities. Design can be the difference between people feeling in control of their lives, and feeling stuck or powerless.
I am dedicated to work that serves people and their abilities. If you want to better understand the people you serve and level up your product or service, let’s chat!
Outside of design…
🧶 I’m an arts-and-crafts enthusiast and love to make things by hand when I can. I once made a custom mahjong set using a laser cutter!
🍲 My Taiwanese mom instilled an appreciation for good food in me and my siblings. I’m currently trying to replicate her signature beef noodle soup in my own kitchen.
